Christian Excelling at Three Positions

Gerald Christian

The state of Florida is loaded with talent up and down the coast and in every direction you turn. At 6-3 and 230-pounds, Gerald Christian is the second player from Palm Beach Gardens (FL) William T. Dwyer High School to announce his intentions to play for the Florida Gators. The first is the top overall player in the state in Matt Elam.

Gerald Christian can do it all at the next level, possibly playing three different positions during his time at Florida. He could play linebacker, defensive end or tight end for the Orange and Blue, but right now is focusing on tight end at the next level.

"Spring practice has been going really good for us right now," Christian said. "Everyone is looking real strong and I have played tight end/fulllback/middle linebacker. On the offensive side of the ball, we have a lot of players back plus some that have transferred in so we have depth as well. The defense is real strong and looks every bit as good as the offense. I play a big role as a leader and I always come to practice with intensity to have a good practice. If I come out lazy then everyone else will be lazy."

Christian isn't sure if he will camp anywhere over the summer and says the games to watch this season will be against Pahokee and Glades Central.

Oklahoma, South Florida, Florida, Tennessee and Colorado State have been to watch him practice so far this month.
