Benedict Keeping Options Open
Brent Benedict

More
At 6-6 and just under 300-pounds, Brent Benedict has long arms and broad shoulders, giving him the ideal frame to play offensive tackle at the next level. From Jacksonville (FL) The Bolles, Benedict is a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 13 ranked offensive lineman.
Brent Benedict
has offers from such teams as
Clemson
,
Florida
,
Georgia
,
North Carolina
,
UCLA
,
USC
,
Wake Forest
,
Alabama
and many more.
"Spring practice went very well and was very busy with at least one or two major D-1 college coaches stopping in everyday," he said.
Benedict is in no rush to make his decision or even narrow his list of favorites. He did visit more than a few schools over spring break to try and get an idea of who may or may not make the cut.
"I took a visit over spring break to
Virginia Tech
, North Carolina,
Duke
, Wake Forest, Clemson and Georgia. I am hoping to get out to LA this summer to visit UCLA and USC. I don't have a top five at this point and don't have any plans for camps so far this summer."
Georgia, Florida, UCLA, Clemson,
South Carolina
,
Miami
,
Arkansas
,
Penn State
, Alabama and
Michigan State
were a few of the teams to come by during the May evaluation period.
"As a senior, I'm a leader on the team and the offensive line unit. The coaches expect us to step up to this role and I feel that myself as well as the rest of the senior class have done a good job in doing that."
My Take:
Benedict is one of the top players in the state of Florida regardless of position. The recruiting procedure for the Benedict family is nothing new since his older brother went through this process. They will not fall into the trap of believing everything that is told to them throughout this process. Benedict is keeping all his options open and will look at each and every possible team that is looking at him. I could see him at five different schools including Florida.
