Rookie receiver Percy Harvin sat out of Wednesday’s practice but returned Thursday on a limited basis while making his way back from a shoulder injury.
Rookie wide receiver
Percy Harvin
was able to do limited work in Thursday’s practice after being held out of all drills Wednesday because of an injury to his left shoulder.
Harvin, who is third on the Vikings with 18 receptions for 233 yards with two touchdowns, was hurt in the second quarter Sunday at St. Louis but was able to continue in the game.
Harvin has missed practice time previously this season and been able to play in a game.
In Week 3, he sat out for the Thursday and Friday practices because of a reoccurring problem with migraine headaches but played against the 49ers and scored a touchdown on a 101-yard kickoff return.
Harvin has served as the Vikings’ primary kickoff return man this season and is averaging 31.2 yards on 14 returns.
“He moved around a bit and did most everything (Thursday),” coach Brad Childress said. “Hopefully, he takes another step (Friday).”
Given that Harvin was able to practice Thursday, he likely will play Sunday against Baltimore barring some type of setback.
