With the Florida Gators preparing for the big Sugar Bowl matchup with Cincinnati, there are still a lot of questions surrounding the future of the program. Near the top of the list is to name a defensive coordinator. Defensive line coach Dan McCarney has taken his name out of the running.

Dan McCarney spent a few moments with the media Monday and discussed the coaching situation at Florida among other things. McCarney expressed he has no desire to be the defensive coordinator for the Gators now that Charlie Strong has moved on to be the head coach at Louisville.

McCarney also discussed his unit which is intact for the trip to New Orleans, but did leave a little doubt as to whether all of his guys would be healthy enough to play on Friday night.
