Winston Found His Groove at FNL

Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston, the 6-4 and 191-pound signal caller with 4.56 speed from Hueytown (AL), is attracting the top programs in America and spoke about his Friday Night Light's performance, the Gators and more.

Jameis Winston has a host of verbal offers to date including Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, Miami, Ole Miss and Mississippi State to name a few.

"When I first walked out there I was kind of shocked because The Swamp is kind of underground. Once I walked in I was like where's the stadium and I saw it and said, 'wow.' My arm was a little tired from our 7-on-7 the day before but once I got hot and started clicking with my wide receivers I was in a real good groove."

Winston showed good zip on the ball and nice foot work. He can sit in the pocket or throw on the run but for him the style of offense in which he plays in at the next level is not a huge factor.

"It does not matter what style of offense I play in. All my life I have played in the wing-t so I am looking to learn new things because you can never stop learning. I have a lot of strengths but I don't focus on them. I pay attention to my weaknesses. I need to work on my decision making and sometimes I throw off balance and I can't always rely on my arm strength because that can get me in trouble."

Winston has a top three of Alabama, Miami and Florida.
