HOOVER, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference has released the media's preseason all-conference team, and Florida is well represented. The Gators put five players on the first team, with Percy Harvin tying for the player receiving the most votes and Brandon Spikes getting the most of any defensive player.

Florida's three offensive All-SEC guys were Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin at wide receiver and tight end Cornelius Ingram. Tebow received 64 of a possible 70 votes at the quarterback spot, trouncing Matthew Stafford of Georgia. Harvin plays all over the field for Florida, but voters consider him a receiver. His 68 votes made him and Georgia running back Knowshown Moreno the two highest vote getters of all the players. Ingram was the clear cut choice for tight end, with 56 votes compared to his nearest competitor Richard Dickson of LSU's nine.

On defense, linebacker Brandon Spikes led the defensive vote getters with 65 and was the only Gator selected. The nearest player to him at linebacker was Tennessee's Rico McCoy with 46. Brandon James was chosen as the first team return specialist.

Florida's five first team All-SEC players was the most of any team. Auburn wound up with nine All-SEC players to lead all schools, but seven of those were second team selections. LSU was second overall with eight All-SEC players. Every team had at least one player chosen, with Arkansas and Vanderbilt only having one each to trail the pack.
