So the Gators enter the closest thing to an off-week with a perfect 10-0 record for just the third time in school history. The 1995 Gators then beat FSU and Arkansas before losing to Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl. The 1996 team lost game 11 to FSU but came back to beat Alabama in the SEC Title Game and Florida State in the Sugar Bowl for the national championship.   Full Story

Florida receiver coach Billy Gonzales spent a great deal of time with the media Sunday and talked a lot about his receivers. While two are playing very well and getting a lot of touches, the rest are pretty anonymous this season. Eighteen months ago he was one of the stars of the Gator recruiting class. Now sophomore safety Will Hill is showing why he was so highly regarded coming out of high school. Hill is seventh on the Gator defense in tackles with 32 despite sharing playing time with juniors Ahmad Black and Major Wright in Florida’s three safety rotation.   Full Story

The Gators are setting some unprecedented numbers with their 20th win in 20 games and going undefeated in conference play to finish the regular season. Another week of college football has come and gone with the undefeated squads all staying that way. Behind them, the mediocrity seems limitless. It's hard to find any team that seems to deserve being ranked in the latter part of the top ten. It's just been a disappointing year for the sport overall.   Full Story

Most years there are huge college football games in the month of November, but this is not one of those years. The BCS National Title Game is all but certain, one team is already set for the Rose Bowl and indications are that most of the SEC games down the stretch will fall into the category of “winner goes to this bowl, loser goes to that one”.   Full Story

The Florida Gators beat SEC East foe South Carolina 24-14 on Saturday. The offense came out smoking while the usually hard nosed and stubborn defense was a little giving at times early on in the game. When things got tight in the second half, Carlos Dunlap and company turned up the intensity a notch or two. The second half was something special by this version of the Gator defense.   Full Story

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Urban Meyer spoke to a packed house of media following the Gators 24-14 win over South Carolina on Saturday. The gators are finding different ways to win relatively close games and this one was no different. The Gators moved to 10-0 on the season and are 8-0 in the SEC. They are also owners of the nation’s longest winning streak at 20-0. Meyer was pleased with the win.   Full Story

Two weeks ago Florida coach Urban Meyer hinted that freshman Xavier Nixon just might crack the starting lineup for his defending BCS Champs. Well, Nixon was no factor in the Georgia game as the established offensive line had its best day of the season.   Full Story

COLUMBIA, SC -- Three years ago in Gainesville it was defensive end Jarvis Moss who saved a Florida national championship run with a blocked field goal. Satuday, another Gator defensive lineman broke South Carolina's heart when they were threatening to pull a potential major upset.    Full Story

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The first and second halves were night and day for the Florida Gators cornerback Joe Haden. The junior had one of the worst performances of his career before halftime but rebounded to help the Gators escape with a 24-14 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks.   Full Story
