| Biography: |
| As a senior he rushed for over 1,200 yards and 17 scores. Defensively, he racked up 103 tackles, two interceptions, eight forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
Hayes reports a 2.8 GPA and a 840 SAT.
Scouting Report: Bayonne (NJ) linebacker/running back Jerome Hayes is a raw talent with a world of potential. Playing very free in his system, Hayes is able to read and react quickly to plays. He takes on blocks well, and sprints to and through the ball carrier in a crowd. In one-on-one situations, he does break down and tackles easily.
Coach's comment: "He could play either FB or LB, but we think he projects at LB. Very physical. Runs well. New Jersey is loaded with prospects this year and he is one of the very best."
