2003: A redshirt freshman who saw action in 12 games (SJSU, Miami, FAMU, Kentucky, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, Georgia, Vanderbilt, USC, FSU, Iowa) for 77 plays…Saw action on offense in nine games (SJSU, Miami, FAMU, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, Vandy, FSU, Iowa)…Returned a fumble by teammate DeShawn Wynn for a 21-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter vs. San Jose State…Caught his first career pass against Miami, a 9-yarder that helped set up a Gator field goal…Recovered a fumble in the opening series of the second half vs. FAMU that set up a Gator touchdown…Had a 14-yard kick return vs. Miami…Also saw action on special teams…
High School: A standout from Jacksonville who garnered national recognition… Received All-America recognition in 2001 from PrepStar and that publication ranked him among the top dozen players in the Southeast in its "athlete" category…Named Florida Times-Union's Offensive Player of the Year for North Central Florida in 2000 when he passed for nearly 1,800 yards with 12 TDs…Over 1,750 passing yards and 800 rushing yards as a senior QB in 2001…Set school records for most career passing yards, total yards and TDs…Also visited LSU and N.C.
