Teague passed for 1,055 yards while completing 69% of his passes and scoring 15 touchdowns. The senior also rushed for 1,270 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Teague was named Mr. Football 4A Back Winner, a two-time region MVP and 2008 TSWA All-State Athlete, Orlando Sentinel Dixie Dozen (top 12 southest players from each state), Mobile Press Register's Super Southeast 120.
Marsalis Teague played quarterback as a junior, but is being recruited to play cornerback or wide receiver by most colleges. He finished his junior season with 1,616 yards passing for 17 touchdowns and 1,530 yards rushing for 16 touchdowns.
Final senior (13-1) stats: Approxximately 3,000 all-purpose yards; 1 interception
Teague reports a perfect 4.0 core GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and a 21 ACT.
Teague: "I'm a great athlete. I'm quick and I'm elusive when I have the ball in my hands.
"On defense I'm real aggressive and smart. I feel comfortable playing any position…quarterback, cornerback and wide receiver. I'll do it all.
"I'm still working on improving my route running. And on defense I want to work on my man coverage and jamming. I need to improve my hips."
