| Burton is dynamic as a runner with his blend of size, speed, and power. He possesses high character and plays the game intelligently. While he has developed as a passer, there is still a ways to go. He needs to become more consistent on the short to intermediate throws. 2008: One of the top quarterback prospects for the Class of 2010. Burton led his team to an 11-1 record and the second round of the state playoffs. In those 12 games the junior completed 100 of 160 pass attemtps for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns (3 interceptions), 176 carries for 1,173 yards and 28 touchdowns. FSWA 5A First Team All-State. Team MVP, Al Area First Team.
2007: Burton threw for 1,318 yards completed 77 of 155 pass attempts scoring 13 touchdowns with six interceptions. He also rushed for 708 yards on 137 carries scoring nine touchdowns. |
