BINGHAMTON, NY - Matt den Dekker began the season as one of the strongest hitters in St. Lucie. But, with the season now in its second half, the outfielder finds himself in Double-A where the results have not come as regularly. Nevertheless, den Dekker remains focused on developing all parts of his game.

After opening the season with St. Lucie, center fielder Matt den Dekker continues to progress with the Binghamton Mets, though the results may be coming slower than expected in Double-A. In 67 games in the Florida State League, den Dekker posted a .296 average. He recorded 79 hits, six home runs and 36 RBI.
