Marcell Harris (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) is a four-star safety prospect from the Sunshine State. He's the No. 2 safety in the state behind Leon McQuay (Seffner Armwood).

This past Thursday his team hosted Orlando Evans. Harris had a good game. He was in on several tackles and had one bone crushing hit on an Evans receiver going over the middle. Harris shows good range and a lot of speed, whether it's run support or in coverage. This kid is physical and he wants to be violent in the secondary.

Harris is solid in coverage but not invincible. He was late on getting over to help out his cornerback on a second quarter touchdown reception by Evans receiver Tony Stevens.

Harris got hurt in the 3rd quarter returning a kickoff and did not return. It was thought to be a knee injury. A MRI was scheduled. The results are expected on Thursday.

Harris has three team favorites at this point in Florida, Florida State and Texas. He already made an official to Austin back in early September. It's thought that the Gators are the team to beat. Recommended Stories
