Watkins a part of a vastly improved secondary


It is a mixture of a lot of things but there is no denying that the Florida secondary is one of the more improved units on the team and may very well be the best unit. It is deep and experienced now, a big difference from a year ago when they were just trying to find their way after all being thrown to the wolves. Junior cornerback Jaylen Watkins would put his crew out there against anyone.

Florida has forced and made seven interceptions in the last two games. They had eight all of last year. I can't count how many times this year there have been plays made by the secondary that I said to myself "that was a catch last year" for the other team. That has been the kind of transition from a year ago that we have seen from the Florida secondary. The unit constantly gave up jump balls... Recommended Stories
