NLA DFW 100: The Sleepers

Noah Westerfield

These prospects -- who starred at the Next Level DFW Top 100 Showcase -- may not be on everyone's D1 radar right now, but the offers are coming and they should be worth watching very closely going forward. Get your first look right here on Scout.com...

WR/S Kendall Adams – FW All Saints

Height: 6'1

Weight: 193

Quick Hitter: Definitely looks the part and is a demon in the pads. Says he is open to safety or receiver in college. Major BCS junior days on the horizon. Offers should follow.

DT Mychealon Thomas – Dallas Skyline

Height: 6'1

Weight: 312

Quick Hitter: Took home defensive line MVP honors. Has great size, which you can't coach and uses his hands really well. If the grades are good the offers are coming.

OLB Noah Westerfield – Frisco Wakeland

Height: 6'3

Weight: 205

Quick Hitter: Needs to add some weight, but is naturally big and long. Looks like the prototype strong backer. He can cover well and had one of the day's best plays stealing an interception in 1v1.

RB Cedric Dale – Keller Timber Creek

Height: 5'8

Weight: 171

Quick Hitter: No prospect may have been more impressive. Plays mostly RB on tape, but showed natural ball skills and catlike quickness in and out of his breaks. BCS caliber.

CB Mayomi Olootu – Allen

Height: 5'8.5

Weight: 169

Quick Hitter: He narrowly beat out Dale for the MVP honors at corner and that is saying something. Has tremendous feet and can flip his hips and hang tight with quick receivers.

OL Anders Huizenga – Byron Nelson

Height: 6'5

Weight: 307

Quick Hitter: He was a little stiff at times, but all in all he has a lot of what many college will be looking for in an OL prospect. He is big and can hang tight with quicker DL.

WR Bryson Gates – Fairfield

Height: 6'3

Weight: 212

Quick Hitter: This one was completely off the radar. He already has some mid-level BCS interest and he definitely passes the eye ball test. Listed at wide receiver but looks physically like a S/LB.

DE Silvester Hayes – South Oak Cliff

Height: 6'2

Weight: 207

Quick Hitter: Super quick off the ball. He can get on the OL in an instant, but is best when not engaging and using his speed to run around. Possibly a nice hybrid DE/OLB add for someone.

OL Lemaefe Galei Jr. – Euless Trinity

Height: 6'4

Weight: 317

Quick Hitter: Yes, the time has come to talk about another Trinity offensive lineman for the Class of 2013. Still looks young, but as he matures will just be massive. Interior line specialist, anyone?

RB Treyvon Hughes – Waxahachie

Height: 5'11

Weight: 205

Quick Hitter: He was my top pick of the running backs. Showed nice footwork and has a real solid frame. Did well in the one-on-ones. Waxahachie is stocking up with talent.

RB Dare Odeyingbo – Cistercian

Height: 6'1

Weight: 226

Quick Hitter: Worked out with the running backs, but I am going to go ahead and go on a limb and say that he would be a perfect fit playing linebacker if he has the disposition for the position. Great frame and look.

OL Charlie Bray – Pottsboro

Height: 6'5.5

Weight: 323

Quick Hitter: The was my super sleeper of the OL group. Not a lot of people mentioning him among the best of the bunch, but has a high potential and is just massive without looking massive and has pretty good feet and technique. Offers to follow.

WR Marcus Perkins – Naaman Forest

Height: 5'9.5

Weight: 158

Quick Hitter: Reminds me a lot of the Daymond Patterson out North Mesquite. Competitive and almost unguardable in the one-on-ones. He was too quick in and out of his cuts and earned WR MVP honors.

OL Tryston Mizerak – North Garland

Height: 6'5

Weight: 293

Quick Hitter: His team only went 1-9 last season, but the kid is worth watching. Looks like he could possibly play 4 of the OL positions in many college schemes.

WR James Washington – Stamford

Height: 5'11

Weight: 182

Quick Hitter: A Jacorey Warrick lookalike. A track kid with speed and is great long jumper. They did not run 40's, but I bet he would test well too. Smooth in all drills with necessary size. Really 'rocked' up.
