Muschamp calls for fans to ‘get a grip'

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Banged up and without its top two quarterbacks, Florida went into Williams-Brice Stadium with a game plan to control the clock and dominate the line of scrimmage. All season, Will Muschamp has pushed the ‘no excuses' mantra despite injuries decimating the roster. Following a 19-14 loss on Saturday, Muschamp continued to say that while also asking for reality from Florida fans.

And he wants the Florida fan base to realize it quickly, too. "There's a lot of negativity out there, and some of our fans need to get a grip," Will Muschamp said, with knuckles taped on his right hand after punching a chalkboard at halftime. "They really do. We have a bunch of kids in that locker room fighting their butt off. You can criticize me all you want. I'm great with that. They pay me... Recommended Stories
