Two Gators named to Coaches' All-SEC Teams

The accolades continue to come in for freshman Vernon Hargreaves. The Florida cornerback was named to the First Team Coaches' All-SEC team that was released on Tuesday, one day after being named to the AP All-SEC First Team. Solomon Patton was named the return specialist for the All-SEC second team.

Vernon Hargreaves was the only freshman named to the first team this year. He ended his season with 35 tackles, three interceptions and 11 pass breakups -- equaling the most by a true freshman in school history previously set by Janoris Jenkins in 2008.

Hargreaves was named to the 2013 AP All-SEC First Team on Monday, the first Florida freshman to be named to that team since punter Shayne Edge in 1991.

Solomon Patton was named the return specialist for the All-SEC second team. The senior set a single-season record at Florida, averaging 29.2 yards per kickoff return. He was second in the SEC and seventh in the country.

Patton led the Gators with 1,269 all-purpose yards and 642 kickoff return yards. He is the fifth Florida player to have a 100-yard return -- coming against Missouri -- and was the only Florida player to top 1,000 all-purpose yards. Patton led Florida with seven touchdowns.
