The breakout season for Casey Prather earned a new honor on Wednesday afternoon. The senior forward earned a spot on the Top 25 for the John R. Wooden Award, the most prestigious individual honor based on play so far this season.
Through 15 games this season, Casey Prather
with 17.3 points and is third on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game. With 259 total points this season, Prather is only 17 points away from his total points scored during his first three years. He has scored in double figures during every game this season.
His season high was 28 points against North Florida in the season opener. Prather has also added two 27-point performance, making him just the third player under Billy Donovan to have three games of at least 27 games. His .636 field goal percentage is fourth in the country and leads the Southeastern Conference.
Florida travels to face Alabama on Thursday at 7 p.m. and hosts Tennessee on Saturday at 4 p.m.
