RECRUITING: Ellis Has Good UF Camp Experience

Off the field, Kenrick Ellis of Greenacres (FL) John I Leonard is one of the nicest guys that you can imagine. Strap on a helmet and shoulder pads, however, and it's no more Mr. Nice Guy for the big defensive tackle who is being recruiting by some of the top Division I schools in the country. Ellis recently made his presence known at the University of Florida at the Urban Meyer Football Camp where he dropped in for one day.

At an estimated 6-5 and 320 pounds he is a hard specimen to miss on the field or off. Ellis was easy to spot among the 150 or so linemen in the camp. After showing plenty of speed and agility at the Florida camp, Ellis reflected on the UF experience. "I loved the camp," Ellis said. "Coach (Greg) Mattison is awesome … he is a good coach.
