Thurman Gets Mom's Approval During Visit

Trip Thurman's voyage to Friday Night Lights wasn't for himself. The 6-6, 310-pound offensive tackle already knew he wanted to be a Florida Gator. This trip to Gainesville this weekend was for his mother.

As any mother would be, Trip Thurman's was a little concerned. Her son leaving their Dover, Delaware, home to play college football in Gainesville will be tough for her to deal with.
